In recent years, the textile and apparel industry in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, has expanded at an especially accelerated rate. Statistics indicate that one-sixth of the city's total economic output is contributed by the textile and apparel industry, which has emerged as one of Zhongshan's pillar industries. The organising committee team of the Guangzhou International Textile, Clothing and Printing Industry Expo paid a visit to Zhongshan on May 20th, 2024, in order to gain insight into the embroidery market's current state of development and to promote the market in advance of the impending Expo.
Once we got out of the car, the sky went dark and it began to drizzle, which was not fun. After going outside in the rain and walking into an embroidery workshop, we saw more than 60 machines working at the same time. With the help of the roaring sound, we found Mr. Zhou, who was in charge of this embroidery business and invited us to stay.
They have an embroidery factory in Zhongshan, Guangdong, and a branch factory in Ningbo, which was learned during the talk. Their main focus is on embroidery processing, and they have good working ties with well-known brands like Shenzhou, Li-Ning, Jiangnanbuyi, and more. He said this about the current state of the market: "The embroidery market has somewhat recovered after three years of repeated pandemic outbreaks, but it is still a long way from returning to the state it was in before the pandemic." It still needs a buffering time that is pretty long."
Following the departure of the jubilant Mr. Zhou, we proceeded to an additional embroidery factory that specialised in bespoke customization. Mr. Wang reacted with astonishment to our arrival. Based on our comprehension, this embroidery factory is predominantly engaged in domestic manufacturing and is presently in partnerships with renowned brands including PALLADIUM, Peacebird, Cabbeen, and Yishion.
"At this time, our operations span across the entire day, encompassing night and day production in two-shift configurations; business is comparatively brisk." Mr. Wang further elaborated that the organisation has stocked its facilities with leather scraping machines, pressing machines, laser machines, and embroidery machines, among other machinery, to effectively fulfil the vast majority of production demands in the market. He noted that current orders continue to exhibit a deficit in comparison to pre-pandemic levels, but that the situation is progressively improving.
In the workshop, we saw exquisite embroidery products being produced, with intricate and beautiful patterns that showcased exceptional craftsmanship. Mr. Wang also introduced to us products that can be embroidered without the need for backing paper.
"Our greatest advantage lies in maximizing the benefits of machinery and combining it with our understanding of embroidery to achieve high-quality production," Mr. Wang stated. He emphasized that optimizing one's own capabilities is the most crucial aspect. As long as the quality is good, public praise will naturally be increased, and that's what will attract more customers.
During our visit to the embroidery factories, we encountered many loyal fans of our ITCPE. Mr. Wang told us that he almost comes to Guangzhou every year to attend our EXPO where he can gain insights into the industry's development direction and witness the continuous introduction of new technologies, which is extremely important for embroidery processing and garment manufacturing enterprises.
Mr. Wang stated, "Technology and mechanisation are advancing at a rapid rate at present. "A profitable machine is one that is user-friendly, productive, and efficient." The organising committee of the Guangzhou International Textile, Clothing, and Printing Industry Expo extended him an invitation this year. Observing an abundance of high-quality equipment, he came to the conclusion that buying equipment at the exhibition would provide superior value for his money.
According to Mr. Wang, there is no doubt that the embroidery market is undergoing a progressive transition from coastal to inland regions in terms of future development. The embroidery industry's prospects for the foreseeable future in inland regions are enormous. Mr. Wang intends to establish an additional embroidery branch in Guangxi and upgrade the existing equipment in the future years. Anticipating the Guangzhou International Textile, Clothing and Printing Industry Expo, he hopes to see an expansion of the selection of embroidery machine manufacturers to include those of higher quality.
