Against the backdrop of evolving global trade dynamics, the trade agreement reached between the United States and Vietnam has attracted widespread attention, bringing new variables and opportunities to the textile and garment industry.

According to CCTV News, on July 2 local time, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on his self-founded social media platform Truth Social that the U.S. and Vietnam had struck a trade deal. Under this agreement, tariffs on Vietnamese goods exported to the U.S. have been reduced from a high of 46% to 20%, while U.S. exports to Vietnam will enjoy zero tariffs.

This policy adjustment is like a boulder thrown into a calm lake, creating ripples that will profoundly influence the trajectory of the textile and garment industry.

01 Protocol Dividend : A New Opportunity for Industrial Collaboration

In the U.S.-Vietnam trade agreement, the United States has pledged to lift restrictions on exports of high-tech products to Vietnam. This move directly benefits high-end manufacturing enterprises such as those engaged in textile and garment machinery and intelligent equipment. American companies will accelerate the transfer of technology-intensive production capacity to Vietnam, injecting new vitality into Vietnam's textile and garment industry.

For Chinese textile and garment enterprises, this is both a challenge and, more importantly, an opportunity. As a key platform connecting supply and demand, ITCPE Vietnam Textile Expo has built a bridge for cooperation between Chinese enterprises and local Vietnamese enterprises. The two sides can join hands to establish a supply chain model of "Chinese raw materials + Vietnamese manufacturing", cleverly avoiding tariff risks and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.

Meanwhile, Vietnam has pledged to "fully open its market" to U.S. products, and it is likely that the U.S. will subsequently relax restrictions on exports of high-tech products such as textile and garment machinery and intelligent equipment. This means Vietnamese enterprises will have the opportunity to introduce more advanced technologies, improve production efficiency, and achieve industrial upgrading.

As an important window for technology display and procurement, ITCPE Vietnam Textile Expo will also provide core support for Vietnamese enterprises to import high-end equipment and for Chinese textile and garment enterprises to expand overseas markets.

02 ITCPE Vietnam: An Industrial Collaboration Platform Amidst Protocol Dividends

Against the backdrop of the new tariff landscape, the 2025 (8th) ASEAN (Vietnam) International Textile, Clothing and Printing Industry Expo (abbreviated as ITCPE Vietnam) shines like a bright beacon, guiding textile and garment enterprises forward.

Diversified cooperation to expand market space

This expo has attracted textile and clothing enterprises, industry experts, and purchasers from around the world, providing an excellent platform for in-depth exchanges and cooperation among all parties. Through face-to-face communication and negotiations, enterprises can gain a deep understanding of market demands and industry trends, establish long-term and stable cooperative relationships, and jointly explore the global market.

03 Policy Dividends: Reducing Exhibition Costs and Risks

To encourage enterprises to participate in the expo, the Vietnamese government, the Chinese government, and the RCEP agreement have all provided generous policy dividends for enterprises. Vietnam has listed the textile and garment industry as a "national key export industry", and participating enterprises can enjoy subsidies for land, taxation, and equipment imports, reducing their operating costs. The "Guangdong Trade Global" project of China's Guangdong Province has included this ITCPE Vietnam in the list of key overseas exhibitions, and participating enterprises can receive a booth fee subsidy of up to 80%, which greatly eases the burden of enterprises participating in the expo. In addition, the deepening dividends of the RCEP agreement have enabled more than 90% of commodities between Vietnam and China, Japan, South Korea and other countries to achieve zero tariffs. Chinese textile and garment enterprises can use the ITCPE Vietnam to take Vietnam as a springboard, radiate the entire ASEAN market, and expand their overseas business territory.

Tariff adjustments are challenges, but more importantly, opportunities for industrial restructuring. The 2025 ASEAN (Vietnam) International Textile, Clothing and Printing Industry Expo will take technology as a spear and collaboration as a shield, helping you break through in the changes and achieve win-win results through cooperation! Take action now to seize the growth dividends in Southeast Asia.
