On August 30, 2025, the "Smart Printing, Global Reach; Goods Worldwide" Cross-Border POD Flexible Supply Chain Factory Exchange Event, co-hosted by Guangzhou Aituke and JOMALL Supply Chain (hereinafter referred to as "JOMALL"), concluded successfully in Guangzhou. Adopting the format of "on-site visits + in-depth analysis", the event brought together a number of cross-border platform sellers, technical experts and supply chain service providers. They jointly discussed how the POD (Print on Demand) model can empower cross-border e-commerce to expand globally efficiently through flexible supply chains. Allallinfo Media Group was invited to the site for real-time coverage.

At the opening of the event, Mr. Kiyoshi Moriya, General Manager of Brother for DTG Business in China and Asia, took the stage to deliver a speech, expressing sincere gratitude to all the guests invited to the event. He pointed out that the current international economic and trade environment is complex and volatile; while the adjustment of U.S. tariff policies has brought short-term challenges, it has also given rise to opportunities for industrial transformation. Specifically, cross-border e-commerce is shifting from extensive growth driven by "scale first" to a new phase characterized by "precision, flexibility, and agility," and the ability to handle small-batch orders with rapid response has become a core competitive advantage.

He emphasized that Brother has always been committed to empowering the industrial chain upgrade through technological innovation. Its new-generation digital direct-to-garment (DTG) equipment can efficiently meet the needs of multi-category and small-batch orders. While ensuring color precision and environmental standards, it realizes flexible production, enabling it to work well with all partners to explore innovative supply chain paths under the POD model and jointly seize opportunities in the era of personalized consumption.

Mr. Huang Zhanpeng, Sales Representative of Brother for South China, then gave an in-depth analysis of the technological breakthroughs of the new-generation digital direct-to-garment (DTG) printing equipment. He focused on introducing the upgrades in the equipment's printing speed, color precision, and consumable compatibility, which provide hardware support for POD mass production. He stated that Brother's equipment enables efficient production of 30-40 dark-colored garments per hour and 50-60 light-colored garments per hour, and is compatible with eco-friendly water-based inks, meeting the requirements of European and American markets for sustainable supply chains.

MIA, Head of Business at JOMALL Technology, used real cases to elaborate on its "three-in-one" integrated solution: "Cross-Border ERP System + Full Flexible Supply Chain + Direct Fulfillment". This one-stop cross-border POD service system connects with over 20 mainstream platforms, enabling sellers to automatically push "single-design, single-unit" orders to factories. Combined with the "local direct fulfillment" service from JOMALL’s U.S.-based factories, logistics efficiency has been improved by 40% and costs reduced by 30%.

MIA revealed that JOMALL's U.S. factory, with a total area of 60,000 square feet, is located in California. It is equipped with 50 Brother ProB direct-to-garment (DTG) printers, with a daily output of 200 pieces per machine. Relying on JOMALL's front-end ERP system and factory-end management, the entire process operates under a "one design, one code" mechanism. The factory also connects with last-mile logistics networks across the U.S. to optimize cross-border delivery efficiency and costs. Additionally, an automated sorting system is installed in JOMALL's factory workshop, enabling intelligent operations throughout the entire assembly line—from garment folding, packaging, labeling to sorting—significantly improving the efficiency and accuracy of order processing.

Wang Chengbo, Head of Logistics Solutions at JOMALL, then shared strategies for reducing costs and improving efficiency in cross-border POD logistics, emphasizing that the combination of "local warehousing and distribution + intelligent scheduling" achieves dual improvements in timeliness and cost optimization.

During breaks in the visit and exchanges, we also interviewed Zheng Qingbo, Head of Technology at Aituke, and MIA, Head of Business at JOMALL Technology, to conduct an in-depth discussion on the innovative practices of flexible supply chains and the reasons behind the booming popularity of the POD model. Zheng Qingbo pointed out that Aituke, with its dual positioning as a "provider of equipment and technical solutions + supply chain integrator," takes technology as its core. It offers one-stop services for cross-border e-commerce sellers, covering everything from equipment selection to production capacity adaptation, while also integrating resources across the POD industrial chain to support on-demand production and direct fulfillment models.

MIA, Head of Business at JOMALL Technology, then revealed the core logic behind the sustained popularity of the POD model and its operational details from a practical perspective. She stated that as the global trend of personalized consumption accelerates and competition in traditional standardized products becomes increasingly fierce, sellers are in urgent need of breaking through growth bottlenecks through differentiated designs. The "zero inventory and low risk" features of JOMALL's one-stop cross-border POD solution perfectly align with this demand.

It is reported that JOMALL's one-stop cross-border POD solution has achieved full-link visibility covering orders, production, and logistics, reducing manual intervention and error rates. For instance, the system can automatically transmit order data to equipment; workers only need to scan with a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) to start printing, and the packaging process is also completed by automated equipment—each production line requires over 5 fewer workers.

"Labor costs in the U.S. remain high, and the application of automated equipment has significantly reduced operating costs," MIA stated. She added that even in the face of price competition from traditional heat transfer printing processes, JOMALL still maintains distinct advantages in system efficiency and cost control.

When it comes to handling order surges during peak seasons, MIA revealed that JOMALL has stockpiled standard blank substrates (such as 160g, 230g, 260g, and 300g pure cotton fabrics) in both its U.S. and Chinese factories. These blank substrates have been validated in the European market and have sufficient inventory depth. Meanwhile, JOMALL’s system is equipped with a built-in dynamic inventory alert function—once fluctuations are detected, the procurement team will immediately replenish stocks. Even in extreme cases, JOMALL can quickly source additional goods through local distributors in the U.S. to ensure uninterrupted supply for customers.

For new sellers, JOMALL also provides a data interconnection function between the front-end ERP system and the factory end. Sellers only need to select designs from over 5,000 clothing-matching materials, and orders will be automatically sent to the factory for production, eliminating the need to find additional supply sources.

When talking about future layout, MIA stated that JOMALL will focus on advancing multi-regional production capacity deployment in markets such as Europe and Brazil. By systematically allocating global factory resources, it will support sellers in local fulfillment, further shortening delivery time and reducing costs.

This event not only provided sellers with comprehensive guidance on technology selection and model optimization but also, through JOMALL’s "technology + supply chain + localization" triple drive, demonstrated how the POD model can help Chinese brands achieve "asset-light and high-efficiency" global expansion. As the cross-border e-commerce sector continues to heat up, the POD model—with its capabilities in personalization and flexibility—is becoming a key engine for sellers to break through growth bottlenecks.
