II. Exhibition Overview
Hebei is one of the birthplaces of China’s textile industry, and its provincial capital Shijiazhuang is nationally renowned as the “Textile City”. The province boasts a solid industrial foundation with 21 distinctive textile and apparel industrial clusters.
Gaoyang County is home to over 4,200 textile enterprises, accounting for roughly one-third of China’s total towel output; Qinghe County gathers more than 1,700 cashmere processing and product manufacturers, processing around 65% of China’s cashmere raw materials and 45% of the world’s total; Baigou New City produces 1 billion bags and luggage annually with over 2.5 million styles. It holds a 30% domestic market share, operating nearly 5,000 enterprises and employing more than 150,000 workers, forming a full industrial chain covering raw materials, design, manufacturing, sales and cross-border e-commerce; Xinji City hosts over 1,000 leather industry-related manufacturers.
Hebei has built a complete closed-loop industrial chain for textiles and apparel. In 2025, the province had 1,140 above-scale textile and apparel enterprises, generating operating revenue of RMB 82.64 billion. In Q1 2026, the industrial added value of modern light textile above designated size rose by 7.6% year-on-year, and the operating revenue of provincial above-scale textile and apparel enterprises reached RMB 19.53 billion.
As a core transport hub of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Shijiazhuang features an integrated transport network of high-speed railways, expressways and airports. Major cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Taiyuan and Jinan are within a 2-hour travel radius, while major markets in Northeast, Northwest and North China are reachable within 4 hours. Riding on the strategic opportunities brought by Xiongan New Area, a collaborative industrial layout has taken shape: R&D in Beijing and Tianjin, manufacturing in Hebei, and global market access.
The province has cultivated 180 provincial-level specialized, sophisticated, unique and innovative enterprises, 26 single-product champion firms and 20 provincial green factories. Cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent spinning, AI customization, water-free printing & dyeing, degradable fabrics and digital workshops are being widely applied, upgrading the industry from traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing.
The industrial clusters offer complete upstream and downstream supporting facilities. Raw material sourcing, production processing and logistics distribution can all be completed locally, cutting overall costs by 15%–20% compared with coastal regions. The industry delivers efficient coordination for small-batch quick response orders and mass customization, well catering to global purchasing demands.
