Exhibition News
The 19th International Textile, Clothing, and Printing Industry Expo will be held in March 20–22, 2024, in Guangzhou at PWTC. For this must-see exhibition, our invitation team went to Bangladesh for business visits and invitations.
Bangladesh, located in the South Asian area, is a hub connecting China, India, and ASEAN countries. It has 1,500 square kilometers but 160 million people. In recent years, the textile industry has grown fast, from cheap T-shirts to high-quality jerseys and suits. Bangladesh has been the second-largest garment exporter in the world, aiming to produce high-end and diverse apparel.
Bangladesh is the first target country for the ITCPE organizing committee. This visit will do good to the communication between China and Bangladesh in the fields of textile printing, embroidery, sewing, and dyeing, which creates a win-win situation and a window for cooperation.
Visting the Bangladesh Market
It is understood that Bangladesh has a sufficient labor force and an amicable trade environment. The West is the main export market. The local government enacts multiple preferential policies. Therefore, Bangladesh’s textile industry faces a bright and broad future, expecting to earn more market shares.
During the visit, the ITCPE Team paid a visit to varied local embroidery and textile printing plants. We observed that imported equipment and materials are deployed in most local big factories.
Meanwhile, we learned that there is a great demand for textile machinery and materials in Bangladesh, and most factories are planning to procure new equipment and build new plants. They are currently seeking channels to procure more professional equipment. Our invitations have given them timely opportunities, and they said they would go to ITCPE on time.
Through visits and exchanges with multiple factories in the Bangladeshi textile and garment industry, the ITCPE organizing committee team deeply appreciates the thriving development of the industry. They have gained insights into the competitive advantages and market demands of the Bangladeshi textile and garment industry, as well as established connections with prospective partners. Bangladesh presents extensive opportunities in sustainable and innovative textile production.
In the future, ITCPE will continue to act as the medium connecting China’s domestic market and Bangladeshi textile industry so as to widen the international market and facilitate the development of textile industry and to make contributions to Bangladeshi industry development. This visit enlarged the ITCPE spectrum in Bangladesh, laying solid foundation for next cooperation.
